Normalizing that people lose hearing or are born with less hearing capacity than others is a task that we have to work to get where we want: not to feel shame or sadness by needing hearing aids.

Yes, in Claso we defend this idea until the end but we want to make it clear again: having a hearing loss doesn't have to break into your life, or stop any of the activities you have done forever. You have to get this idea out of your head and it's necessary to talk about it. Because wearing hearing aids is nothing serious, negative or cause for social exclusion or low mood. Hearing aids are just a device that improves our quality of life... Hey, no complexes!

Do you think you don't hear just like you did before? Go have a hearing aid check to see what hearing health you have. And if your hearing care professional recommends you to wear hearing aids... don't think about it!

The first thing to do when you are told that you have lost hearing is to accept it and the best part is to do it fast! Admitting that you no longer hear the same as a while ago and remedying it will not only help you to adapt to the new situation but it will give you life quality, we promise.

Auditory health is something that does not recover, the hearing loss may be stable or increase over time... it's like wearing glasses, the sight does not recover. But is it only standardized that a person who did not wear glassws before, now does? So why don't we normalize the situation with hearing aids?

You have to get rid of the idea that hearing aids are stupid, ugly or for old people. The technological advances and the design of many hearing aids is incredible and there are young people who also wear them... and nothing happens!

Wearing hearing aids shouldn't be any drama or emotional distress or trauma. They should help you to follow your day to day routine, to be comfortable in the conversations and ultimately... not to lose detail of what is happening around you.

Don't let hearing loss stop you!
