Improve your hearing

As we get older we begin to realise that we need to turn up the TV more than normal, ask those around us to speak louder or repeat things to us. This is the moment when we become aware that something is wrong.

Is there anything we can do to improve our hearing right now? Maintaining good hearing health is easy if we take the right steps. And we tell you about it in this post.

6 easy tips to improve your hearing

Avoid loud sounds

They are the main enemy of good hearing. But how do you know if a noise is too loud? If you have to raise your voice too loud to be heard, or if you have trouble hearing what someone is saying to you, or if your ears hurt, you hear muffled sounds, then the environment you are in is too noisy.

Be careful with headphones

Listening to loud music is very harmful, especially if it exceeds the limits recommended by experts.

Protect your ears in noisy places

Not only because it causes hearing problems but also because it can cause tinnitus (ringing in the ears). It is very useful to consider the option of using earplugs, they protect without distorting the sound.

Keep the external ear canal clean

Accumulated traces of cerumen are common causes of hearing loss. It is not advisable to remove it completely, but good hygiene must be maintained. We stress the importance of not using swabs, as they can do more harm than good, by danger of pushing the earwax inwards and causing a plug. Experts recommend using specific mineral oils.

Exercise

Promotes blood circulation and consequently the flow to the area will improve hearing.

Train your mind

Doing some mental exercises can improve your hearing by improving your brain flow. Riddles, crossword puzzles... improve cognitive associations and consequently can also improve hearing.
