Signia Pure C&G MaX: a New Generation of Hearing Aids with Multidimensional AI

Artificial intelligence is transforming hearing technology. One example is the new Signia Pure C&G MaX, which incorporates Acoustic Intelligence, a processing platform based on multidimensional artificial intelligence.
But what does this actually mean, and what can it bring to everyday situations such as a meal with friends, a meeting, or a conversation in a noisy environment?
A New Way of Understanding the Sound Environment
The challenge for a modern hearing aid is not simply to amplify sounds, but to distinguish what we want to hear from what may make understanding more difficult.

Acoustic Intelligence integrates four dynamic neural networks that work together and share information in real time. According to Signia, the technology has been trained using 40 million sound samples, including 11 languages, six music genres, thousands of voices, and different everyday situations.
The goal is for the hearing aid to better understand the environment and adapt its response to each situation.
Four AI Technologies Working Together
RealTime Conversation Enhancement is designed to identify and track voices, even when several people are participating or the conversation changes rapidly. Signia states that this generation processes 75% more sound data per second than the previous one.
Own Voice Processing focuses on the user’s own voice to provide a more natural and recognizable perception, which is particularly important during the adaptation period when getting used to the hearing aid.

Environmental Adaptation continuously analyzes acoustic conditions and adjusts processing in situations involving noise, music, echo, or movement, without the need to manually switch programs.
Meanwhile, Dynamic Noise Control attempts to identify what type of noise is present, where it is coming from, and what is happening in the surrounding environment in order to reduce it without unnecessarily removing the voices we want to hear.
Signia states that all this processing can react in approximately 0.01 seconds, allowing the hearing aid to respond rapidly to changes in the environment.
Ready for New Forms of Connectivity
The Pure C&G MaX incorporates Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth LE Audio, and a telecoil, and is also prepared for Auracast.
This latter technology, based on Bluetooth LE Audio, will in the future make it possible to receive shared audio broadcasts in places such as theatres, auditoriums, conference rooms, or airports.
Signia states that Auracast will be enabled through a firmware update via Signia One or the fitting software before March 2027.

The hearing aid also incorporates Signia Assistant, a tool integrated into the Signia app that provides personalized assistance and allows the hearing experience to be adapted to different situations.
What Does This Mean for the User?
All this technology has one very specific goal: to make conversations easier to understand and reduce listening effort in complex situations.
For example, imagine sitting at a table with several people talking, background noise, and constant changes in who is speaking. In these situations, the goal is not simply to reduce noise, but to enable the hearing aid to distinguish the relevant voices and adapt its response at every moment.
It is precisely in these environments that technology such as Acoustic Intelligence can offer a distinctive advantage.
Technology Needs Proper Fitting
Although the Pure C&G MaX offers advanced features, technology alone does not determine the outcome.
The type and degree of hearing loss, each person’s individual needs, and, especially, the fitting carried out by the hearing care professional are essential to achieving a good hearing experience.
At Claso Audiologia, we believe that technology has real value when it translates into a genuine improvement in everyday life. That is why, in addition to understanding the features of each new generation of hearing aids, it is important to assess which technology best suits each person’s individual needs.
